Fabulous Friday: Graduation

Today's the day! Soon enough I'll be putting on my cap and gown and walking across the stage this afternoon transitioning from a UT student to alumni. 

I feel like I'm a broken record saying this, but seriously where has the time gone? It feels as if moving in to my freshman dorm was just last week! 

Of course I couldn't sleep this morning... I'm not sure if it's excitement or nervousness or a combo of both? Definitely bittersweet to be capping off four awesome years in Austin and beginning this new chapter in my life.

But no matter what Texas forever. Hook 'em and congrats to the class of 2013!

Earlier this week I discovered the adorable PJ & Poppy via Instagram, and instantly fell in love. I'm a serious sucker for tasseled accessories. Plus, the fun pops of color and metallic touches are just an added bonus... I'm sold! 

I can't narrow it down to simply one color, definitely wishing multiple sets of keys were necessary in my life. And how about the adorable tassel necklaces, I can think of a number of ways in which I could style these pretties this summer.

I think it's pretty obvious that the color orange holds a special place in my heart... but when it comes in the neon & sherbet form, I can't resist. J.Crew and Factory are really hitting it out of the park as of late, and I admit at least half of my closet is filled with their pieces (not sure if that's a good or a bad thing). 

I treated myself to this lovely Bauble Bar deco statement necklace in lieu of my last week of college classes and homage to my favorite book The Great Gatsby... a modern version of something Daisy would've accessorized her glamorous wardrobe with.

Sorry for the hiatus, last week was a whirlwind, but I'm officially in that lovely limbo that is done with classes & finals but not yet experienced graduation (that's friday!). I'll be back with an outfit post tomorrow, but today I have a few images that are inspiring me in preparation for my trip to Florida and the beach next Wednesday! Any recommendations of restaurants in the Miami Beach & Ft. Lauderdale area would be so appreciated! xx

 I wasn't kidding when I posted earlier this week about my current adoration for shades of blue. Enter the perfect turquoise denim, teal heels and lovely bangle from my friends at Kule. How great is their resin striped bangle for making a colorful statement? All about the 'preppy luxe' aesthetic, Kule's pieces are right up my alley. Plus I'm all about their credo, "an accessory should be so much more than an afterthought".

Is it just me or is this year flying by? It would be an understatement to say this month is going to be a whirlwind... but definitely one filled with excitement and some huge milestones. Friday marks my last day ever of collegiate classes, and next Thursday will be my last final ever (hooray!) Meanwhile, in just 16 short days I'll be able to call myself a graduate of The University of Texas. 

It still hasn't quite hit me yet, albeit I've already gotten a little more emotional than anticipated at my last sorority meeting. But soon enough I'll be packing up my apartment and moving to Houston, where I'm excited to say I'll be beginning my first job as an assistant account executive at an advertising agency. 

I'm not sure about you, but I love May! Not only will this particular month be one to remember, but at least for me it marks the beginning of summer... my favorite time of the year!

Loving these colors as warmer temps finally begin to stick around. Blues, especially navys and turqioises, are my go to on a sunny and warm day. Especially loving the limited edition Danielle's... I think it's safe to say I'm lusting after every piece in the new collection.

Dallas Bound

I'm headed to Dallas tonight for former President George W. Bush's library dedication at SMU! As a political communications double major, I'm definitely looking forward to being in the same place as five U.S. presidents. And of course as any fashionista would, I'm eagerly anticipating seeing what sorts of wardrobe decisions the first ladies make.
